Raising Autism Awareness

Location: Banchory Primary dining hall
Time: 19:00 – 21:00
Marjprie Temperley, SFL teacher at Hill of Banchory Primary School with extensive experience in Autism will be giving a presentation on 'Raising Autism Awareness'.
This will be presented through a combination of talk and workshop formats.
Including:
  • background and information
  • understanding how it feels to be autistic
  • strategies to consider
  • question and answer session
It is aimed at anyone who runs children's or young peoples' activities e.g. scouts or swimming instructors, extended family and friends of those who have a child with Autism or indeed anyone who just wants to know a little more.

Brain Gym workshop

Location: Banchory venue to be confirmed
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Linda Cunningham, Educational Kinesiology Consultant and Trainer.

Will lead a workshop on Brain Gym
The focus will be on helping children affected by Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and D.C.D., with particular emphasis on auditory, visual and co-ordination issues

This workshop is FREE to parents but there will be a £10 charge for professionals who wish to receive a certificate of attendance. Places are limited to 20 participants.
